GMH Solutions completed Patient Area Electrical upgrades and compliance in accordance with the Patient Area Electrical Standards of AS/NZS 3003:2018 and Australian Electrical Standards of AS/NZS 3000:2018.
Problem
Due to Patient Area Electrical standard revision and non-compliant alterations or additions to the area, these areas were deemed to be electrically unsafe when referring to the current Patient Area Electrical standards.
Our solution
Upgrades were approved after auditing the installation and providing the client with an engineered scope of remedial works. Custom designed and locally manufactured medical service panels were provided to suit the existing patient bay services layouts. The areas were upgraded electrically whilst the facility was still operating, working with Queensland Health staff to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
