GMH Solutions completed Patient Area Electrical upgrades and compliance in accordance with the Patient Area Electrical Standards of AS/NZS 3003:2018 and Australian Electrical Standards of AS/NZS 3000:2018.
Problem
Due to Patient Area Electrical standard revision and non-compliant alterations or additions to the area, these areas were deemed to be electrically unsafe when referring to the current Patient Area Electrical standards.
Our solution
After initially auditing the site and liaising with the client to determine required alterations for compliance, the customer confirmed they were content with upgrading electrical systems to provide compliance with the most recent Patient Area Electrical Standards. These works were completed through the evenings to minimise disruption to the hospital and other surrounding theatres.
Client benefit
By altering existing electrical services within the theatre the Cairns Private Hospital was provided with safe and compliant electrical systems required for critical tasks within the theatre.
